This skintone is based on a blend that I made, but with a few changes. I've been wanting to make an alien skintone for a while now, as people who have checked out the forum may have noticed. XD However, I eventually decided it would be easier to make one from scratch than edit an existing one. I was right. But, onwards with the pictures! Click on a picture to view larger version!

Adult Female
Here's a closeup of the adult female's face. The Togruta head tails are not part of the skintone, and not included. The Gathdra are a thin-skinned race who sprout jewels from their skin as part of their connection to their planet.
Here, it's easy to see the underlying veins through the thin membranes.
Adult females of the race grow jewels in a v-shaped pattern on their backs.
Adult Male
Adult males of the species grow three jewels on their forehead, possibly because they need to try harder to attract mates than females do.
However, adult males exhibit the same translucent skin as the females, through which veins can be easily detected.
On the back of the adult male is one large, single jewel, at the top of a ridge of furrows. You can see here the early beginnings of scales - a phenomenon that won't come to fruition until the Gathdra reaches his twilight years.
Toddlers
Aside from their colour, Gathdra toddlers are scarcely different from human toddlers. However, on their forehead you can see the early ripples of their forehead crystal beginning to form - much like teething, this process can be uncomfortable.
Children
Children have more delicate skin than their adult counterparts; the veins are more prominent. The forehead crystal makes its first appearance in childhood.
Children have not yet begun to grow their back crystals, that process won't begin until puberty.
Teen Female
The very perky-breasted teen female has a small but growing forehead jewel, and has developed the thickness of her adult skin.
The teenage female has begun to sprout her back crystals, but the area is red and enflamed as it stretches to accomodate the growing jewels.
Teen Male
You can see the beginnings of his secondary crystals beginning to sprout in the forehead of this young male. They won't be fully formed until adulthood.
The teen male's back crystal is smaller than it will be when he reaches adulthood, and much like the teen female's, the skin around it is irritated as it encompasses the jewel. The male has all ready formed the furrows along his spine, that he will keep for the rest of his life cycle.
Elder Female
Here you can see her lips and eyesockets have lost some of their colour; as has her forehead crystal. This is seen as a sign of wisdom and ascension.
The elder female of the Gathdra has thinner skin than her adult counterpart.
The crystals on her back have caused the skin around them to become quite puckered. Unlike face crystals, the back crystals on the female do not lose their colour.
Elder Male
The forehead crystals of the adult male, much like the females, have darkened and lost their colour.
The reason that elder males of the Gathdra kind are called Scalebacks becomes apparent with the growth of scale-like folds in the skin of the elder.
